Our Approved Training Program
Global Property Inspections is proud to offer comprehensive, approved home inspector training for the provinces listed below. Training is included with each GPI franchise for the provinces that require licensing. For inspectors in provinces that require home inspector licensing, GPI works with the province to help you meet the criteria for licensing. Alberta
Alberta requires home inspectors to meet the following requirements:
- Complete the required application form
- Complete the application package for a home inspection business license
- Complete and provide proof that you completed an approved home inspection training program that includes field training (GPI's training program is approved)
- Pass two proctored exams
- Complete a supervised test home inspection

British Columbia
British Columbia requires home inspectors to meet the following requirements:
- Must be licensed through the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Authority
- Complete the required application form
- Must be a licensed member of one of the following:
- Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia (ASTT)
- Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors (BC) (CAHPI(BC))
- Canadian National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (CanNachi) (GPI's training program is approved)
- National Home Inspector Certification Council (NHICC)
- Complete and provide proof that you completed an approved home inspection training program that includes field training
- Pass a proctored exam
- Complete a supervised test home inspection

Newfoundland
